The Emotions A Shelter Dog Goes Through After They Are Adopted Are Endearing

I recently adopted a Labrador from one of the many shelter homes in my city. She is a gorgeous two-month-old and has the brightest of smiles that lights up my day. But what I found really interesting are the emotions that went through her face when she found out she was getting adopted. I mean, I understand that as a shelter dog life is not really a bunch of roses. But when I went on Google to search for more shelter dogs, the emotions were quite similar.

It was a stroke of major good fortune that Scarlett was found by a kind human who couldn’t leave her to be euthanized. True, she had a medical condition but that was curable.

Pitbulls always had a negative reputation attached to them, which led to many potential adopters side-stepping Princess Ru’s cage. And thus led to the gradual fading of her beautiful smile. But when the right person came to adopt her, she was all smiles yet again.

Shelter dogs might be well taken care of in their shelter homes, but to find someone who would look at you like you are the best possible thing to happen to them, is a blissful feeling. These shelter dogs know that they will be able to finally enjoy the life that they have been waiting for all this while.
