A battalion of knights in their shining armor reached the mountain castle to rescue the princess screaming for help from the raging dragon. And inside the gates, they saw… a tea party!
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office used their official handle to make a post on 4th January 2020, “Our Deputies in the Lake Worth Beach came to the help of someone screaming for help. Hilarity ensued.”
911 services can be stressful more often than not. But sometimes these knights meet a rather harmless ‘Barney’ and have a good laugh. When Florida Police received a distress call from a person who had heard someone screaming for help on Saturday morning, they could not have imagined how the case would end.
Saturday morning, a friendly neighborhood got filled with a woman’s scream of ‘let me out’ and ‘help’. The police arrived at the house whose owner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, was changing the brakes in his car. They had been summoned by an alert neighbor who heard screams and immediately dialed 911. To their surprise, the owner laughed and went in to bring forth the screamer- his childhood companion, a 40-year-old parrot, Rambo.
The owner explained that when he was younger and his parrot lived in a cage, he trained it in the ‘screaming for help’ act. The police then joined him in his laughter with relief. What was suspected as a domestic violence incident, thankfully, turned out to be just an ill-trained pet!
The owner took his buddy, Rambo, to introduce him to his neighbor who had called. The neighbor met the ‘lady screaming for help’ and had a good relieved laugh as well about the whole thing.
Everything was so sharp and surreal that the PBSO posted the video clip of the entire incident on the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Official Facebook page and you can’t stop laughing when you see it.
We wonder if they charged him for playing such a prank on the police! The only thing missing was the poor dog excited to join the fun.
Laughter in this dreary world can be precious and few. Who better than the policemen to know its value. They deserve our thanks for sharing it with the world.
