All of us have our insecurities and want to be loved despite them all. You need to learn to embrace your shortcomings, strive to be better but at the same time never let someone make you feel inferior for it. Love should not feel like a battlefield. It should not be an additional burden on you but should fit like a glove… without much trouble. Here is how you’ll know you’ve found love in its most wholesome form :
“There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.”
Nietzsche did have a point. True love just feels right. You will not have to fret or fall on your face in the relationship. It will be as natural as the morning sunshine and life will feel gloomy without it. You don’t have to be #couplegoals, you’ll be your own person and help each other grow.
“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.”
Transformation, according to Jung, is a natural outcome of love. You will want to go the extra mile for someone you love. You will invest time and effort without batting an eyelid because it makes you happy. Love in its most wholesome form will give you unadulterated joy.
Being accepted for who you are gives you confidence and comfort. When you have your partner supporting your dreams, you can reach new heights. You will want to come home to someone who understands you so that you can share a loving silence. Oftentimes, words can be hollow – lacking any significance, but meaningful actions and a shared silence show how deep your love actually is. There will be no need to talk constantly if you can communicate well with gestures. Love should feel like a boon and not a bane. Yes, sometimes you have to be your own cheerleader, but having a sidekick isn’t all that bad!
You cannot always know where you are going, you don’t always have to be sorted and as the saying goes, not all who wander are lost. You need to lean on someone you love for solace and that person will always be your cornerstone. Life can be a series of challenges, but love should not be one of them. Love should act as a cushion, helping you stand up and fight again. You know you can always rely on your loved one for honest advice. The one you can trust with all your heart will also give you a sense of direction.
“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
― Dr. Seuss
That is what love feels like, warm, fuzzy, and wrapped in giggles! Spend time with the ones you love and everything else will fall into place.
