Kerry McKinnon and her Golden Retriever, Asha, has quite an eventful life. However, there was one special morning when a new member joined their family for a short while. She was just basking in the sun outside and going around the garden when her husband started to call her. What was the matter? Well, it turns out that a baby koala was perching on top of their Asha, the dog. Asha was looking at the baby koala often. After all, there was something on his back and he was trying to gauge whether it is a bug, a predator or rather something to get rid of. However, Asha did not do anything. It is quite possible that the baby koala was saved by Asha and she is being called a hero. Since it was early, the parents of the dog have not gone out actively but the active Asha was already making her rounds. It is possible that at that time, the baby koala fell from the mother’s pouch and settled down on Asha’s back. The koala could have been easily eaten up by a fox on account of the size. If not so, then the baby koala might have starved to death. but Asha, the savior, ensured that nothing that drastic happened to the koala.

Well, the baby koala was taken to the vet for tests. The koala was fit. It is possible that it will get released in the wild after a proper rehabilitation program.
